Disable video auto-play in Chrome

October 7, 2017March 13, 2018

If you do not want all those videos auto-playing in Google Chrome then you can just turn them off.

From a tab in Chrome enter the following:

chrome://flags/#autoplay-policy

change the first option to “Document user activation is required.”  then update/restart Chrome.

Another resource for tested Antivirus programs and information would the Consumer Affairs Antivirus Web-page. It lists test results for Virus programs that they have tested and rated.

    Fiendish Websites

    (Avoid if you can)

There are websites out there that are just fiendish Virus/Trojans waiting to happen to you. It usually looks like your anti-virus program found a virus and immediately starts a scan. There are two problems with this ... First your anti-virus program will most likely just give a notification in the bottom right of the screen just above the clock. .. Second, a normal anti-virus program does not start scanning your computer based on finding a virus - it just stops it.

Best practice is just to close your browser windows and re-open explorer. And above all else DO NOT click on the button that says fix/scan/repair... or anything else. This just installs it and bypasses any real anti-virus software you may have.
