How to Find a Device’s MAC Address Using Command Prompt

A quick way to find a device’s MAC address is to use Command Prompt.

First, ping the device by entering:

ping <IP address>

Then run:

arp -a

This displays your computer’s ARP table, including recently contacted IP addresses and their associated MAC addresses. Find the device’s IP address in the list to identify its MAC address.

Keep in mind that this method generally works only for devices on your local network and may display cached entries from recent connections.
